JURU is a portmanteau of JUte and RUbber and our first mat overlay was made of jute and natural rubber. ‘juu-roo’ also means ‘eureka’, ‘joy’ in a few tribal languages. Instead of crying Eureka we cried JURU! And this is precisely what JURU is – a perfect yoga companion for yogis who wish to choose the eco-friendly path.
We wanted mats and props to reflect and value the peaceful principles that yoga embodies; one of which is to establish perfect harmony with nature. Taking inspiration from some wonderful international eco-yoga brands and from the make-in-India campaign, we launched our first made-in-India anti-slip yoga mat overlay.

I love this mat, apart from its amazing grip during practice it also looks and feels so earthy!
It doesn’t offer much cushion but you can get used to it over time. I used my old pvc mat below the mat and it worked.

The dhyana mat is not only beautiful, but such a very good quality! I’ve been looking for a mat for a while that would provide comfort and amazing grip.
The mat is very comfortable and also easy to carry without being too bulky or thick.
The mat is smooth, with great grip but still allows your hands and feet to sink comfortably into the mat, and you can roll over your toes easily without slipping!
The mat is also functional for both a sweaty ashtanga practice and a slow restorative practice. It seems really easy to keep clean.
Oh and an added bonus it’s eco-friendly.

I really liked this environment friendly mat. I initially thought that 3 mm would be less, but is good for me. This mat has amazing grip and I must say that one should maintain their yoga mat as mentioned in instructions to keep it always fresh.

Service is amazing. Product is made of natural materials, is stylish , exceedingly strong grip so doesn’t slip at all on floor, definitely great for people who sweat a lot. Only reason I gave a 4 star is I find it a bit hard, particularly for asanas like headstand, and Anjanae asanas. While doing these you need to use another mat above this one or a padding .

Its a very good mat and easy to carry around, though lil on the heavier sode, but a good Company for travel. Grip when wet is superiour in comparison to most mats I have used. It dries fast and is comparatively odour free.
