Fitness is indeed a trendy buzzword or a must part of anyone’s routine now. Amid a pandemic or even during a pandemic people have realized the importance of fitness. From top influencers to celebrities, nation ministers, business owners, etc. have promoted an idea that being fit is not just a trend but an integral part of your life.

In 2019, the prime minister to aamaadmi,  launched Fit India Movement (in August), and the 5thannual International Day of Yoga (June 21), topics around fitness gained a great importance. Leading the way are influencers or celebrities whom we relate to the most. People look upon them for inspiration on what kind of lifestyle one should cater, what food to eat or what kind of work routine works the best and so much more.

Be it Yoga, Pilates to Aerobics and Martial arts, the sky has no limit for types of workout regimes. Amongst all, Yoga has been considered as one of the most effective regimes. Yoga is beyond just doing simple stretches. It is about integrating a balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation in the body through a series of postures, movements and breathing patterns.

1. Shilpa Shetty

Shipa Shetty is one of the most inspired and admired celebrities for how she has maintained herself. She is a great example of a beauty aging with grace. Isn’t it? She  not only practices Yoga but also encourages people to adapt into their lifestyle. She does so by having her own Youtube channel, personal DVDS/CDs in which she showcases different asanas and pranayamas. She has always credited Yoga for her toned body.

Along with this, she shares the importance of inculcating a healthy diet with organic foods or healthy substitutes for delicious delicacies for her kid. She shares some interesting recipes on her channel as well like for Holi she shared Healthy Thandai recipe.

2. Prajakta Koli

Prajakta Kholi, an Indian Youtuber, known as Mostly Sane, shared her daily routine which included Yoga as one of integral parts. She mentioned in one of her interviews how Yoga has helped her to balance her physical health & be at peace mentally. The moment she discovered the depth of Yoga, she fell in love with it.  She keeps sharing some of her happy stories after a peaceful yoga regime.

 

Along with cardio benefits and relaxation with regular yoga practice, having a sensible diet helped her to embark on the fitness journey she had been chasing every year as a one of the new year resolutions.

3. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is known for his discipline & love towards fitness. Would you believe, if I say that he is already around 54 years old? Yes, that’s true. And, the secret behind this incredibly fit man is his dedication and consistency towards Yoga and other fitness activities.

Despite having a busy schedule, he always manages his time such that he does not miss out on his Yoga practice & other sports. He even shared a picture of himself doing Yoga along with his family on International Yoga Day back in 2016. No doubt he is a strong man inside out.
